Steve RobertsonDirector of Technology and Innovation, Responsive Group Inc.

Steve has dedicated his entire career to enhancing the lives of seniors through technology.
As Director of Technology and Innovation, his role is to provide a plan for the management and adoption of technology systems and services to ensure efficiency and stability for our homes. Additionally, he is responsible for innovation through the identification and adoption of new systems, processes and technologies. Steve is energized by solving problems and developing creative solutions that benefit our seniors – and our team. Often described by his colleagues as “kind, compassionate, empathetic and supportive,” he enjoys knowing that his work matters.

A self-described “entrepreneur at heart,” Steve has started several companies focused on technology services or applications for senior care providers. Prior to joining our team in 2017, he sold his most recent company, which he led for 15 years. Steve continues to be engaged in the broader community by advising other organizations.

Steve’s education bridges technology and the humanities. He holds an Executive Master of Science in Technology Management from Wilfred Laurier University and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), TriOS College. As well, he holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Trent University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo. Recently, Steve has been accepted into the Rotman ICD Director’s Education Program, obtaining his ICD.D credentials.

Originally from Georgetown, Steve has lived in Orangeville for over 15 years. A single dad, Steve enjoys spending time with his daughter and son. An avid walker, Steve covers 10 to 15 kilometres a day. In the warmer months, Steve enjoys rowing, and recently completed his first race since he competed in university.
