As Vice President, Culture and Communications for Responsive Group Inc., Nicola brings extensive knowledge of the organization and a diverse range of communications, leadership and organizational skills to her role. She is responsible for strengthening and evolving the organization’s culture through communications, brand awareness, team member engagement and wellness.

Driven by her love of people and a genuine desire to see others succeed, Nicola believes that strong relationships are at the heart of a thriving organization. She brings kindness, empathy and authenticity to her work, along with a passion for telling stories that connect people to the organization and to one another.

Nicola works closely with leaders and teams across the organization, supporting business units and homes with their communications needs, sharing best practices and resources, and leading shared initiatives, pilots and projects. She is known for her ability to bring people and ideas together, organize complex initiatives and turn plans into action. An accomplished communicator and active listener, Nicola also brings a sense of humour and warmth to everything she does.

In addition to her role with Responsive Group, Nicola is a member of the Canadian Association of Long Term Care’s (CALTC) Engagement and Communications Committee and the Ontario Long Term Care Association’s (OLTCA) Advocacy Committee.

Nicola’s professional development is diverse and ongoing. She holds an Excellence in Executive Leadership Certificate from the Rotman School of Management and is a certified trainer in Crucial Conversations, a communication framework that helps leaders navigate high-stakes conversations with confidence and skill.

Born in England, Nicola immigrated to Canada as a child with her parents. Before joining Responsive Group, she built a career that drew on her strengths in organization, communications and leadership, while raising her three children. Today, she is passionate about learning, embracing new experiences, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
